IRNA - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi said that the enemy is pursuing its objective of blocking Iran’s progress through backing terrorism, waging proxy and soft wars.
Addressing the Award Ceremony of Martyr Mohammad Ali Rahnemoun National Prize in Khorramshahr, he added that the enemies of the Islamic Republic created terrorist groups like Daesh to prevent Iran from making progress, but Iran defused all the plots by turning regional situation into its favor.
Although supporters of terrorism spent 6,000 billion dollars to capture Syria, they failed and found that Iran is the real triumphant of regional developments, he said.
Today, Iran enjoys full security in the Middle East and despite sanctions, it managed to make progress in all fields, Izadi said.
Martyr Mohammad Ali Rahnemoun National Prize honors martyrs families and elites and veterans of combat medicine each year.
