MNA– A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Iranian and French railways who agreed to form six working groups.
The cooperation agreement between Tehran and Paris was sealed during the visit to Iran of a delegation of SNCF, France's national state-owned railway company, and some members of the European country’s National Assembly.
The newly-signed MoU followed the agreements reached during President’s Rouhani’s visit to France and revolves around the main theme of forming six working groups in various sectors like high speed rail, station services, suburban train lines, providing advice to discuss structural revisions, crisis management as well as equipment and instruments for rail transport.
During expert meetings on the six working committees, various discussions were made on venues for cooperation between railways of the two countries and finally a memorandum of understanding was signed between Islamic Republic of Iran Railways Deputy Head Ahmad Khodaei and Jacques Rapoport, Chairman of Representative of the French State at SNCF.
