MNA– Members of the Iranian archery team have managed to bag one gold, one bronze and two silver medals in Las Vegas 2017 Indoor Archery World Cup Stage 4.
Competing on Sunday morning in recurve event of the sportive extravaganza, female Iranian junior athlete Parisa Rouhanian won the tile while a host country archer landed second and Rouhanian’s compatriot Mobina Fallah stood on the bronze podium.
In boys’ division, attended by 34 competitors, Reza Shabani of Iran succeeded in bagging a silver medal while American and Japanese rivals secured gold and bronze medal respectively.
Also in girls’ cadet category, the silver medal was won by Iran’s Sogand Rahmani while an American contester stood on top of the podium.
A total of ten junior and cadet archers as well as one senior athlete represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the credible tournament.
Initially blocked by the Trump administration’s controversial travel ban, members of the Iranian archery team were issued visas to reach Las Vegas for an important Indoor Archery World Cup competition.
The Iranian archery federation announced on its website that some of its athletes and coaches were able to obtain last-minute visas at an American embassy in Armenia.
The fourth stage and final of the 2016/17 Indoor Archery World Cup runs 10/11 February 2017 in Las Vegas, USA as part of The Vegas Shoot on 10-12 February.
