IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador in Baghdad, Hassan Danaei-Far, reaffirmed Tehran’s support for Baghdad in a meeting with the Iraqi Vice-President, Nouri al-Maliki, in Baghdad on Saturday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest security developments and anti-terror war in Iraq as well as the recent victories by Iraqi armed forces and Mobilization Forces in Neineva Province.
Iraqi senior official said Iraq's victories over Daesh terrorists have contributed a lot to the failure of extremist and warmongering projects in the region.
He called on all countries to help uproot the great dangerous challenge.
Danaei-Far, for his part, voiced Iran’s renewed support for Iraq in all spheres, particularly in war on terrorism and appreciated al-Maliki’s efforts in boosting bilateral relations.
“The cordial ties between Tehran and Baghdad will benefit the two nations and regional peace and stability,” he said.
