Tasnim– 28 out of 94 Iranian movies submitted to the 35th Fajr Film Festival have been chosen to compete for this year’s title, secretary of the event announced.
Speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Friday, Mohammad Heidari said the 28 movies have been qualified after 45 days of hard work by the jury.
The 35th edition of Fajr Film Festival will begin on January 31 for ten days.
Winner of the festival, which dates back to 1982, is given the crystal Simorgh.
Since 2015, the festival has been held in two separate national and international categories.
