IRNA - Deputy Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah Naim Qassem described martyred cleric Sheikh Nimr as one of the Jihad flag-bearers in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that Saudi regime is the most flagrant violator of human rights and freedom of speech.

Sheikh Nimr was a prominent Shia cleric in Saudi Arabia who was among 47 people executed on January 2, 2016.

In related news, Iranian Majlis (parliament) in a statement released on Tuesday said, 'Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr was martyred by the Saudis at a time when the regional and global peace and security was at risk as a result of terrorist activities of the Takfiri and extremist groups.'
