All registrations for Iran's upcoming elections in June will be carried out digitally for the first time, Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said on Wednesday.
Najjar added that a comprehensive system has been set up for electronic election processing management, Fars news agency reported.
Iran's presidential vote will be held concurrent with village and city council polls on June 14.
Except for voting, other election processes will be carried out digitally as well, Mohammad Najjar explained.
The Central Executive Election Board is tasked with planning and supervising the elections.
The eleventh election of the President of Iran to elect the seventh President, successor of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is barred from standing for a third term.
The elections will take place on the same day as local council elections.
