IRNA – A group of 28 Iranian nationals kept in prisons of the United Arab Emirates will be released by efforts of Iran's Consulate General in Dubai and on the occassion of the UAE's national day (December 2, 2016).


The Iranian inmates, being kept in Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Dubai prisons, will return home after completion of legal procedures, Iran Consulate General reported on Thursday.

It advised the Iranian nationals to get familiarized with the UAE laws and regulations before travelling to the country.

The report did not mention on what charges the Iranian nationals were kept in the UAE prisons.
