December 6, The Iran Project - Iran Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan says Islamic Republic and Kyrgyzstan are willing to increase bilateral exchanges in different fields, stressing the old history of the two nations’ friendly relations.
Referring to Tehran-Bishkek’s proper political relations, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani said the opening of embassies between the two countries and Iran's participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit led to the signing of various agreements in the recent visits of Iran and Kyrgyzstan’s presidents.
Rouzbahani pointed to the joint commissions as one of the mechanisms for removing obstacles that hinder the development of Iran-Kyrgyzstan’s economic ties
But, unfortunately Tehran-Bishkek’s bilateral trade is relatively low because of international sanctions imposed on Iran over the past 10 years, and not being aware of the two countries’ capacities, so the two sides’ capacity, capability and experience in different fields should be introduced, he added.
Iran Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan also referred to the expansion of cultural relations as one of the strategies for increasing the two countries ties.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he expressed satisfaction of Iran-Kyrgyzstan’s cooperation in the fields of agriculture, mining and industry, adding Iran is ready to use mutual experiences in implementing development projects in the two countries.
