IRNA – Judiciary chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said on Monday that Iran is ready to give response to US breach of nuclear deal by extension of Iran Sanctions Act.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian top judicial officials.
Ayatollah Larijani said that Iranian officials are fortunately unanimous that a decision by US Congress and House of Representatives to vote for extension of Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) was in violation of a nuclear deal signed with Iran last year.
He ruled out the US logic that Iran Sanctions Act deating back to 1996 is an old one, saying that extension of an expired sanctions accounts for imposing fresh sanctions and a breach of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
Larijani said that the US government earlier created obstacles on the way of implementing the nuclear deal by refusal to authorize foreign banks to do business with Iran and prohibiting the US and non-US investment in Iran.
Ayatollah Amoli Larijani said that US should not be allowed to both benefit from the nuclear deal and refuse to honor its commitments to the JCPOA.
