MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia sees as helpful the future inclusion of Turkey and Iraq into Syrian crisis settlement talks between Moscow, Damascus and Tehran, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s director of the Second Asian Department said.
"The Syrians have ideas on how to find common ground with the disparate opposition. There are other interested states: Iraq, Turkey, whose participation in the future would probably be helpful," Zamir Kabulov told RIA Novosti. The trilateral Russia-Syria-Iran format toward settling the Syrian crisis has proven its effectiveness and will be used in the future, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the last meeting with the two ministers on October 28.
