#BREAKING Trump win 'opens period of uncertainty': France's Hollande
2:17 PM - 9 Nov 2016
Hollande has been outspoken in his criticism of Trump, The Washington Post’s James McAuley wrote.
After Trump criticized the family of Humayun Khan, a Muslim American soldier who died in combat in Iraq in 2004, Hollande wasted no time in calling out the candidate: “His excesses make you want to retch,” Hollande said.
On Tuesday, shortly after polls opened in the U.S., he offered implicit support of Clinton on Radio France Internationale.
“I have confidence in the American people to know which is the choice that best reflects their values, their principles, to freedom, to this relationship with France and Europe.”
