‘The Salesman’ wins Best Film at London Iranian filmfest.

MNA– The 7th London Iranian Film Festival wrapped up last Wed. with Asghar Farhadi’s ‘The Salesman’ winning the Best Film Award.


In Audience Choice awards, ‘Bodyguard’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia ranked first by gaining 4.53 points out of 5, closely followed by ‘Yahya Didn’t Keep Quiet’ by Kaveh Ebrahimpour (4.48 points), ‘Daughter’ by Reza Mirkarimi (4.45), ‘It Happened At Midnight’ by Tina Pakravan (4.41), and Lantouri by Reza Dormishina (4.40).

In the Documentary Section, ‘76 Minutes and 15 Seconds with Abbas Kiarostami', compiled by photographer Seifollah Samadian, won the Best Documentary Award. The film offers a moving and intimate portrait of the late director.

‘Entr'acte’ by Mohammadreza Kheradmandan won the Best Animation, while ‘Alamak’ by Hossein Darabi won Best Short Film award.

London Iranian Film Festival is the only festival in the UK that is dedicated to Iranian independent cinema. This year's event took place from 28 October to 2 November.
