Madrid, Sept 22, IRNA – Spain’s King Felipe VI on Wednesday called for development of commercial relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During his speech at the 71st United Nations General Assembly meeting, Felipe said Madrid supported the nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers.
He also hailed Iran’s commitment to the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
According to the official website of the Spanish Court, King Felipe VI of Spain also noted that the JCPOA opened up a new chapter in trade relations between Tehran and Madrid.
Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani is in New York to attend the 71st UN General Assembly.
He arrived in New York on Tuesday evening local time.
