Tehran, Sept 3, IRNA – Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh said on Saturday that Iran has strategic ties with Algeria in the OPEC.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Algerian Minister of Energy, Noureddine Bouterfa.
Zanganeh said that in addition to cooperation in the OPEC, Iran and Algeria can expand ties in oil, gas, energy and other sectors.
'We expect Algeria to see Iran as its second homeland.'
For his part, Noureddine Bouterfa said Iran-Algeria relations are firm and excellent within framework of the OPEC.
He said that Algerian government supported Iran during sanctions.
