ILNA: Deputy Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization for Management Development Affairs Samiollah Hosseini Makarem said on Wednesday that each tourist brings in revenue equal to 30 barrels of oil, tourism can serve as an important pillar of the Economy of Resistance.
Makarem told the exclusive meeting of Definition of Programs of the Economy of Resistance that contrary to oil, tourism neither needs to be sold in crude form nor others' investment.
He said handicrafts need both basic materials and local human source, being the least costly but with highest amount of productivity.
'So, tourism and handicrafts are two important pillars of the Economy of Resistance.'
