TEHRAN, Aug 03 (Shana) -- Operator of Phases 17 and 18 of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field says the refinery facility of the phases is running at full capacity and all 4 trans of the refinery are operating at the moment.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Hassan Boveiri said trains 3 and 4 of the facility receive their gas from a seabed pipeline that comes from platforms 17A and 18A and trains 1 and 2 are currently being fed by the gas recovered from phases 6 to 8 of the gas field but once platforms 17B and 18B become productive, the feeding to the trains will be done by these platforms.
He said gas recovery from phase 17 and 18 is currently being done by two platforms which will be added by another two ones by February 2017.
The first two platforms came on-stream in early 2015 and have since then supplied over 9.5 bcm of sweet gas to country's output. The two platforms recover 14 mcm/d of gas from 11 wells.
Boveiri said construction of platform 18B has so far taken 9 million man/hour of work in a period of 18 months.
Weighting 2,300 tons, the platform is expected to be installed at its designated offshore spot by February 2017.
