Moscow and Tehran are considering the possibility of bilateral military exercises and exchange of observers, local media reported on Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia’s Izvestia newspaper reported, citing a source, that best practices in conducting joint drills were discussed during the talks between Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and commander of the Iranian forces taking part in the 2016 International Army Games Brig. Gen. Vali Madani on Monday.
Russia is currently hosting the International Army Games, which kicked off on July 30. The games feature the competitions in 23 disciplines. A total of 121 teams from 19 countries across the world partake in the games monitored by observers from 11 countries.
