TEHRAN, August 1 (Shana) – Minister of Defense Hossein Dehqan arrived in Asalouyeh on Monday to visit petrochemical projects in Pars Energy Special Economic Zone.

Upon arrival in Persian Gulf International Airport, Dehqan was welcomed by Managing Director  of the Zone Mehdi Youssefi.

While in Boushehr Province, Dehqan will inspect certain petrochemical facilities and industries and infrastructural facilities in the region.

For the time being, Iran's total petrochemical production capacity stands at 60 million tons a year and based on the target set it will reach 160 million tons in the next 10 years.
