Beijing, July 13, IRNA – Iranian and South Korean officials inked Wednesday two agreements on cooperation in the area of nanotechnology.
The inking ceremony was attended by Secretary of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council Saeed Sarkar, Chairman of nanotechnology research organization of South Korea Jim Ki Bum and head of LG research center Hee Gook Lee.
The two sides also agreed to share experiences in the field of nanotechnology.
Referring to Iran's recent years achievements in the field of nanotechnology, Sarkar stressed that Tehran is the world's sixth country active in that field.
Further, he noted that Iran is currently the world's fourth producer of nano science thanks to the efforts made by its young scientists.
Sarkar announced that an international exhibition on nanotechnology is to be held in Iran in October 2016 with the participation of different world countries.
