Saudi Arabia responsible for delay in Yemen talks: FM advisor

13 Jul 2016 - 9:44

Tehran, July 13, IRNA – Foreign Minister Advisor Hossein Amir Abdollahian blamed Saudi Arabia for prolonging the ongoing Yemeni peace talks in Kuwait.

“Saudi Arabia is directly responsible for political talks of Yemenis in Kuwait,” Amir Abdollahian said while emphasizing the Tehran has not interfered in Yemen’s affairs.

He said that Saudi Arabia’s non-stop military operations in aerial bombardment of residential areas and infrastructure of Yemen and violating the ceasefire has made the Yemeni political talks ineffective.

“Despite the creation of problems by Saudi Arabia in dispatch of Iran’s humanitarian aid to Yemen, we have carried out this duty in coordination with international and regional organizations,” Amir Abdollahian said.
