Beirut, July 10, IRNA - Iranian envoy to Lebanon Mohammad Fath-ali on Saturday called on the country's authorities to step up efforts to find the abducted Iranian diplomats.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at the presence of Maryam Mojtahed Zadeh Larijani the wife of Iran's abducted charge de affair in Lebanon.
During the meeting, Iranian envoy said that liberation of Iranian abducted diplomats is a national demand.
He urged increased Iran-Lebanon cooperation at the international level for pursuing the case of abducted diplomats.
Maryam Mojtahed Zadeh Larijani the wife of Iran's abducted charge de affair in Lebanon said that three generations have pursued the case and they are still hopeful to find their loved ones.
She hailed Berri's efforts and called for continuation of efforts by the Lebanese government to find the abducted diplomats.
Despite dire situation in Lebanon in 1982, Iranian diplomats did not left the country and stayed with their Lebanese brothers, the wife of the abducted diplomat added.
She said that Lebanese government has a legal responsibility to find the abducted diplomats.
Those who have served times in the Zionist regime prisons have declared that they have seen the Iranian abducted diplomats alive, Mojtahed Zadeh Larijani noted.
Lebanese parliament speaker for his part said that he sympathizes with the families of the abducted Iranian diplomats.
Mojtahed Zadeh Larijani was in Lebanon to attend a ceremony held last Monday to show solidarity with the abducted diplomats.
