Islamabad, July 7, IRNA – Grandson of the late Father of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Rohollah Khomeini on Thursday praised Tehran-Islamabad good neighboring ties noting there is no negative point in the history of the two countries relations.
Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, currently in Pakistan, told IRNA in an exclusive interview that the love of the Pakistani nation for the late Imam Khomeini and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is a bridge linking the people and government of Pakistan to the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
Hojjatoleslam Khomeini, who is in Pakistan to visit the Imam Khomeini University in that country, led the Eid al-Fitr (fast breaking feast) prayers on July 6 in the city of Karachi in southwestern Pakistan.
He stressed that Tehran has always wished for prosperity and progress of the People and government of Pakistan.
Referring to aborted efforts made by certain countries to damage friendly ties between Iran and Pakistan, The late Imam's grandson stressed the two nations have always been aware of strategic importance of maintaining their mutual ties.
While in Karachi, Hojjatoleslam Khomeini paid tribute to Pakistan's Great Leader Mohammad Ali Jinah putting a wreath of flowers on his tomb.
He further wished for a world free of violence and Takfiri thoughts.
