TEHRAN, June 13 (Shana) – Iran's Jam Petrochemical Company (JPC) has started export of products including polypropylene to Europe from the final months of previous Iranian calendar year(ended March 19, 2016), the company's senior official said.
Kambiz Mirkarimi, commercial and executive manager of JPC said to Shana on Monday that the company's customers have been diversified in the post-sanctions era.
JPC has already kicked off export of products to Germany, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, Greece and Bulgaria, he added.
The official referred to lower cost of shipping the products to Asian countries and the banking problems and said Turkey and Asian markets are still more attractive for JPC in compare to the European countries' markets.
German based BASF petrochemical company has opened an office in Tehran and JPC is in talk with some other European and Japanese companies to resume cooperation, he added.
Mirkarimi said that since US citizens have become shareholder of some European suppliers of petrochemical equipment, JPC has problem for revival of cooperation with some of the European companies.
Jam Petrochemical Company or JPC in its declaration has started as ‘a development projects of Iran’s National Petrochemical Industries’ situated in the Asalooyeh Petrochemical Free Zone since 1999 to act as the world's largest Olefin manufacturing plant.
This company has been established to produce Olefins and Low Linear Density and High Density Polyethylene. JPC has divers manufacturing sections holding especial features including Olefin, High Density Polyethylene, Linear Polyethylene, Butadiene and Butane-1. The company has been able to get its share in the region and global markets and it has been considered by major rivals in the Petrochemical Industry, in addition to play its outstanding role in huge plans chain of the pars Especial Economic Zone.
