Tehran, June 12, IRNA – Negotiations are underway with Italian companies for designing terminals for Tehran's International Mehrabad Airport and Tabriz Airport, Managing-director of Iran Airports Company Rahmatollah Mahabadi said on Sunday.


Mahabadi said that the contracts have been already signed by President Hassan Rouhani and the two sides are now discussing the financial issues and how the contracts will be carried out.

There is a special chance now for renovation and development of Iran's airports that has to be seized, Mahabadi said.

'It is a new chapter for renovation of airport industry and that development is inevitable. Therefore, we need to seize the opportunity to be able to make a breakthrough in this area.'
