TEHRAN, Jun. 09 (MNA) – Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu arrived in Tehran to attend the trilateral meeting on fighting terrorism.

At the official invitation of Iran Minister of Defense Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan, Russia’s defense minister arrived in Tehran to partake in trilateral meeting of Russia, Syria and Iran, “Fighting Terrorism”, which is to be held on Thursday.

Shoygu is slated to held talks with his Iranian counterpart and Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council Ali Shamkhani on the sidelines of the event.

Syrian Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij also has arrived in Tehran early Thursday.

The sides are expected to exchange views on regional issue of terrorism, its spread and the possible ways to confront it.
