TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran launched the first Tehran-Astrakhan direct flight on Tuesday to facilitate trading between the two countries, said Managing Director of Iran Trade Development Organization Mohammad-Reza Mododi.

He said that the first flight from Tehran to Astrakhan would be held on Tuesday.

The Iranian official said that the measure aims to facilitate trading between the two sides and non-businessmen can also use the flight opportunity.

He said that the flights are scheduled for every Tuesday and Friday.

The measure would be a turning point in expanding commercial transactions between the two countries.
