Stockholm, June 1, IRNA – Iran-Sweden trade meeting opened here on Wednesday attended by 230 Iranian and Swedish economic figures.
Visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Swedish Minsiter for EU Affairs and Trade Ann Linde are scheduled to deliver speeches in the gathering.
The ways for fostering mutual cooperation, evaluating the two countries markets as well as Iran's situation during the post sanctions era would be addressed during the conference.
Zarif who is leading a 60-member trade-economic delegation to the European countries arrived in Stockholm on Tuesday night on an official visit to discuss bilateral ties with senior Swedish officials.
Zarif started his tour of Europe on Sunday evening and arrived in Warsaw on the first leg of his tour.
While in Warsaw he met senior Polish officials and attended an economic and trade meeting and also a meeting in Warsaw University that was attended by university professors and students and a considerable number of foreign ambassadors to Warsaw.
After ending his visit to Poland, Zarif and his accompanying delegation arrived in Finland.
In Finland, the Iranian top diplomat participated in Helsinki political meeting that was held for the first time by the Finnish government for the purpose of exchanging the regional dialogues. Zarif met his Finnish counterpart Timo Soini, attended a joint press conference with him, met Finnish parliament speaker and president afterwards.
Sweden is the third leg of Zarif’s tour of Europe. His last stop in Europe will be Latvia.
