Iran, Iraqi Kurdistan officials review co-op on anti-terror campaign

Erbil, May 15, IRNA – Iran's Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi on Sunday held talks with Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Administration Nechirvan Barzani in Erbil on ways for cooperation in the fight against terrorism and Takfiri groups.

The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest and ways for bilateral cooperation.

Alavi, who is on a visit to Iraq, arrived in Erbil last night and met with the prime minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Administration.

Alavi is also scheduled to meet with President of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani later in the day.

He will then go to Sulaimaniyah to visit the sick former president of Iraq Jalal Talabani.

In his visit to Baghdad on Saturday, Alavi met with high-ranking Iraqi officials in separate meetings.
