TEHRAN, May 11 (Shana) – Iran’s annual petrochemical output is expected to reach 54,7 million tons in this Iranian calendar year(started March 20, 2016), Production Control Manager of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Ali Mohammad Bosaghzadeh said.
Speaking in a local ceremony on Wednesday, he added that during the last Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2016), Iran has exported 18,1 million tons of petrochemical products to the global market by using 1176 cargo ships.
Iran has exported 6.7 million tons of petrochemical products abroad since beginning of this Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2016) till May 6 which shows 10 percent growth in compare to the same period previous year, the official said.
He underlined that Iran’s petrochemical production in the previous Iranian year totaled 46,4 million tons which shows 100 percent raise in output.
Bosaghzadeh noted that Iran exported 18.1 million tons of petrochemical products abroad which shows 23 percent growth in compare to the year before.
Iran aims to raise production of petrochemical products to 54,7 million tons in this Iranian calendar year(started March 20, 2016), he noted.
