TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani categorically blasted a US court ruling on confiscation of $2 billion of Iranian assets, saying that the move has been blatant theft and a significant legal scandal for the US.

He noted that the move means continuous hostility against the Iranian nation.

“The Iranian government, on behalf of Iranian nation, has withhold no effort to vindicate rights of the nation and will keep on the path until obtaining results,” he said.

“They should know that rights of Iranian nation cannot be violated or plundered.”

The assets belong to Iranian nation and any seizure of the assets is a hostile and illegal act, said Rouhani
