TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army and Air Force struck ISIL positions in three different battlefields across the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur and inflicted major losses on the militants.
The Syrian government forces hit the ISIL gatherings in al-Sina'ah district, which ended in the killing of over 10 militants and explosion of a mid-size depot of ammunition and weapons.
In the meantime, the ISIL sites in Haweija Saker and al-Baqaliyeh came under the heavy strikes of the Syrian fighter jets, which not only claimed the lives of several terrorists but destroyed their sites' infrastructures.
In relevant developments in the Eastern province on Tuesday, the Syrian military forces attacked the ISIL strongholds across one of the key districts of the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur, and pinned the terrorists down behind their positions.
"Al-Baqaliyeh was the scene heavy fighting between the Syrian soldiers and the ISIL terrorists," the sources said, adding, "The army' heavy fire inflicted a heavy death toll on the militants."
"The ISIL's military vehicles also were destroyed in the clashes," they further added.
