TEHRAN, Apr. 11 (MNA) – Iranian official announced the launch of the world's largest neurosurgical hospital in Tehran by the end of Iranian Persian year, on March 20, 2017.
Deputy of Resources and Management Development of the Vice Presidency for Science Affairs Alireza Daliri told reporters on Sunday that the largest hospital owned by distinguished Iranian neurosurgeon and medical scientist Professor Majid Samii, is physically prepared, however, the equipment is not yet installed.
Stressing that the hospital will be the world's largest neurological hospital, Daliri said the hospital is three times bigger than International Neuroscience Institute in Hannover of Germany, which is considered now as the largest hospital in the world for neuroscience purposes.
He added the world's top neurologists demand to have surgery at the German hospital.
“Some of Iran’s active neurologists take training courses in Germany using Presidential Scholarship by the Department of Science and Technology, to work in the world's largest neurosurgical hospital in Iran in the near future,” he added.
Stating that the launch of the hospital will provide the grounds for medical tourism, Daliri said the place can attract patients at regional and international levels.
