Team Iran have maintained Asia’s Top Position, in the latest FIFA World Rankings released on Thursday, as they moved up 2 places into 42nd spot in the world.

Recent victories over India and Oman in the Russia World Cup qualifiers were enough to see Carlos Queiroz's men improve on their Ranking by 2 places.



Meanwhile, Argentina have moved atop The World Ranking, while Belgium, Chile, Colombia and Germany are respectively sitting 2nd to 5th.



In Asia, the Aussies are 71 points adrift of Asia's top side, to sit 2nd in the AFC ranking after Iran, with South Korea, Japan and Saudi Arabia trailing respectively.
