Iran safest country in region for investors: IRGC Cmdr.

Tehran, April 6, The Iran Project - A commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has stressed that Iran is the safest country in the region.

Speaking to a reporter on Wednesday, the Head of the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif said  Iran is the safest country in the region, emphasizing that investors invest in a safe geography that cannot be threatened by invaders.

General Sharif also pointed out that nowadays Iran has a stable defense, security and military conditions and strengthening the country's defense capability certainly leads to stabilization of the economic security, too.

ISIS terrorists could make many regional countries insecure but Iran’s defense capabilities has made country a secure place, and we should be so strong that even from a long distance the enemy could not threaten our national interests, Sharif added.

Describing the effects of boosting the defense capabilities in the political arena and its deterrent role, he stressed on the importance of military equipment, especially missile systems and increaing deterrence power.

He went on to say that although US officials insist that Iran missile system is a barrier to other countries’ investment in the country, investors tend to invest in a safe and stable place.

Washington claims that Tehran’s missile program is a threat to global security but Iran categorically denies the claim, arguing that its missile program is solely defensive.
