Iran, Turkey universities discuss bilateral scientific cooperation

Ankara, March 6, IRNA – Turkey and Iran discussed ways of scientific cooperation between the two countries in a meeting here between a visiting Iranian delegation and Turkish university authorities.


The Iranian delegation, headed by Dean of the Theology Faculty of Tehran University, Dr. Majid Maaref, is currently visiting Turkey.

Prior to this, Iran’s cultural attache to Ankara, Hassan Safarkhani, briefed the Iranian delegation on the outcome of three previous joint sessions with Turkish university authorities underlining the topics of mutual cooperation.

Dr. Maaref said his faculty is fully prepared to hold bilateral and multilateral dialogue on religion.
The Iranian delegation attended a student session in Ankara theology Faculty on the history of religions in presence of over 100 students.
Later, the authorities of the Turkish and Iranian universities discussed ways of bilateral cooperation and implementation of their decisions.
