Iran among 15 countries with aerospace technology: official

Tehran, March 1, The Iran Project – A senior official at Iran’s Space Organization stressed Iran’s capacity in production and launching satellites, saying that it is among the top 15 countries with aerospace technology.

Speaking on the 15th International Conference of Iran’s association of Aerospace, Mohsen Bahrami, the head of Iran Space Organization noted the country’s capabilities in producing and launching satellites, adding that Iran has joined top countries with the high capacity in aerospace.

Briefing the country’s plans over the space technology which also was emphasized by the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, the official pointed to the peaceful nature of the activities which seeks to achieve knowledge and commercialization.

“We need to apply the space knowledge,” he stated, highlighting the country’s advancements made both in the hardware and software related fields.

Bahrami went on to say that Iran has achieved the capability to launch Rasad, Navid, Duosti satellites, adding that Dousti Satellite is currently ready to launch.

Referring to the organization policies to design and localize the communication satellites, the official underlined the maximized utilization of internal and international capacities in implementation of the projects.

In concluding part of his speech, he remarked that realization of the country’s perspective in 2026 (1404) to achieve the highest regional rank in science and technology needs efforts and motivation in this industry.
