Pak-Iran gas pipeline agreement to be inked today
Adviser to Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain has said that Pakistan would sign agreement with Iran over the construction of gas pipeline today.

Talking to media in Islamabad‚ he said the agreement would be signed between Pakistan’s state-owned firm Inter-State Gas Systems and Iranian company Tadbir Energy Costar Iranian Co (TEGIC).
Iran bans pistachio exports to control price hike
Iran has ordered a six-month ban on pistachio exports to try to control the price of the nut, which doubled in the past month.

Pistachios are among Iran’s top non-oil exports and widely consumed at home, bringing in an average of $1.5 billion a year and providing work for hundreds of thousands of people.
Turkey purchased $6 bln of Iranian crude in 2012 – minister
Turkey purchased $6 billion worth of oil from Iran in 2012 and will continue oil imports from the Islamic Republic, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz told Turkey's CNBC-E television on Friday.

Once reliant on Iran for more than half its crude oil imports, Turkey has reduced its purchases as the United States and European Union have tightened sanctions on the trade with Tehran.
U.S. says well aware of Iran efforts to obtain sensitive materials
The White House is aware of Iran’s efforts to obtain sensitive materials related to its nuclear program, a White House spokesman said on Thursday, but he declined to comment on any specific transactions.

“We are well aware of Iran’s aggressive efforts in violation of its U.N. Security Council obligations to obtain sensitive materials for its uranium enrichment program,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters traveling with President Barack Obama.
