Tehran, February 9, The Iran Project – Iran’s defense ministry will unveil Simorgh satellite and Emad ballistic missile at Azadi Street in Tehran coincided with Bahman 22nd (February 11) rallies on the occasion of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics announced on Tuesday that Simorgh Satellite and Emad Ballistic Missile as two new achievements of defense ministry in the space and missile areas are to be unveiled along with the 22-Bahman Ceremony to commemorate 37th anniversary of Islamic Revolution victory on Friday in Azadi Street.
Simorgh is a new home-made satellite carrier developed by the Aerospace Industries Organization of Iran’s Ministry of Defense which utilizes a new generation of liquid-fuel engines to put satellites in orbit. The Satellite Carrier Simorgh is equipped to carry a 100-kilogram satellite 500 kilometers into orbit.
Emad Missile, as the country’s domestically-built ballistic missile, is the latest achievement by Iran’s Aerospace Industries Organization. Emad is the first Iran’s long-range missile that can be controlled up to the moment it hits the target.
Earlier in October, Iran successfully test-fired the surface-to-surface Emad Ballistic Missile.
