Two bomb blasts have struck the outskirts of Syria's capital, Damascus. At least 30 people were killed and 40 wounded in twin blasts in the mainly Shia neighbourhood, Syria's Interior Ministry reported. The Islamic State terrorist group has taken responsibility for the attacks.
According to the television station of Lebanon's militant Shia Hezbollah group, the attacks took place in the Sayeda Zeinab district, where Syria's major Shia shrine is located.
