TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (Shana) – Manager of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) in northwestern Miandoab region said that two oil products consignments of about 50,000 liters were seized and confiscated by the company’s inspectors.
NIOPDC inspectors and police intercepted a suspected tanker which turned out to be smuggling 25,000 liters of industrial oil, Ahmad Mojarad told Shana.
“Also inspectors in Mahabad while on a visit to the city’s industrial township managed to spot about 25,200 liters of kerosene form an oil refining workshop,” he added.
The confiscated cargos were returned to the legal fuel cycle, said Mojarad who is overseeing NIOPC in the region bordering Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan.
