Tehran, January 18, The Iran Project – Iran and China will sign the eight comprehensive cultural program when Chinese President Xi Jinping travels to Tehran, says Iran's Cultural Attaché in China Mohammad-Rasoul Almasieh.
Speaking to a reporter on Monday, Iran's Cultural Attaché in China Mohammad-Rasoul Almasieh announced that Iran and China will sign the eight comprehensive cultural program in the near future, saying the two countries have taken important steps in the field of cultural relations over the past three decades.
Almasieh stated that the new memorandum of cooperation includes new topics and can be named as a new chapter in the field of cultural cooperation between the two countries.
He also announced that the second meeting of the Joint Cultural Commission between the two countries will be held in Tehran shortly.
The first meeting of the commission was held in 1391 in China where cultural activities between the two countries and ways of implementing the agreements were considered, he added.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is going to pay an official visit to Iran from January 19-23 to hold talks with senior Iranian officials on a range of bilateral and regional issues.
