Berlin, Jan 17, IRNA – The implementation day of Iran nuclear deal was a great moment and a historic day for diplomacy, says German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Iran has fulfilled all its commitments and the country will see the removal of financial and economic sanctions imposed on it for its nuclear activities, said Steinmeier, according to a report on Sunday.
Diplomacy is capable of resolving dangerous crises and putting an end to seemingly irresolvable disputes, he said.
Referring to settlement of the longstanding nuclear dispute between Iran and world powers, the German foreign minister said that it gave us hope we can overcome the regional crises and serious conflicts through diplomacy.
It especially gives us hope that we can end the civil war in Syria, he said.
Steinmeier also said that despite simmering disputes and ongoing conflicts, following the flourishing of commercial ties, the relation between Iran and world countries is going to enter a new stage.
'But today we can talk about a historic and diplomatic agreement and for me it is a great moment,' he added.
