Tehran, January 13, The Iran Project – In a meeting between director general of technology office at Iran’s ministry of Science and Italian delegation of technology, two countries agreed to expand technological ties.
Khosro Piri, director general of Science, Research and Technology Ministry’s Office for Technology held talks with the visiting delegation comprising economic and scientific representatives from Italy's Friuli Venezia Giulia region on Wednesday in Tehran.
During the meeting, Piri noted satisfying level of cooperation between two countries, stressing the expansion of bilateral ties in technological field.
Referring the previous agreements signed by two sides’ ministries, Iran and Italy highlighted the need to define mechanisms to operationalize the agreements.
Elsewhere in the talks, Guido Nassimbeni, the head of Italian Center of Research and Technology explained the details of the center’s capabilities.
The visit by the delegation of Italian scientific and economic representatives from Friuli Venezia Giulia led by the Region’s president, Debora Serracchiani, is part of the four bilateral Memorandum of Understanding between Italy and Iran that inked in Tehran last November.
