TEHRAN, Jan. 09 (MNA) – Iranian Film and Cinema Month, a cinematic event, will bring together office of Iran’s cultural attaché, Farabi Cinema Foundation, and International Festival of Middle East and North Africa (MENAR) in Sofia, Bulgarian capital city.
Held to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of 1979, the event will have 8 Iranian movies beginning January 14 in Sofia’s 5 great cinemas for 20 nights. Iran’s cultural attaché Mohammad Ali Kiani will address the event about Iranian cinema achievements after the Revolution and participation by Iranian movies in international festivals.
The 8 movies to be screened include Niki Karimi’s ‘Night Shift,’ ‘316’ by Paiman Haqqani, Khosrow Sinaei’s 'Colorful Island,' ‘Three Fish’ directed by Hamid Reza Ghorbani, ‘The Ride,’ by Ali Khamehparast, ‘Track 143’ by Narges Abiar, ‘Dame’ by Tina Pakravan, and ‘Sepahan’s Glory,’ a documentary. All films will have subtitles in Bulgarian.
