Border security to boost Iran-Turkey ties, official

Orumiyeh, West Azarbaijan prov, Dec 24, IRNA – Governor of Turkey’s Van province Ibrahim Tasyapan said security in joint borders with Iran has given boost to bilateral relations.

Tasyapan made the remarks in a meeting on Wednesday with officials of city of Khoy in this northwestern Iranian province.

Joint borderlines between Iran and Turkey are symbols of peace and friendship, said the Turkish official in the meeting.

Sustainable peace and lasting security have paved the way for further economic and trade exchanges between the two countries, he added.

City of Khoy enjoys joint border line with city of Van in east of Turkey.

West Azarbaijan province shares a long borderline of 550 km with Turkey.
