Bojnurd, Nov 16, IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook the region of Raz in North Khorasan Province bordering Turkemenistan on Monday evening.

According to the Seismological Center of the University of Tehran, the tremor occurred at 20:33:12 hours local time (17:03 GMT) and was epicentered at the depth of 10 km.

There was no immediate report of possible destruction or fatalities.
