TEHRAN, Nov. 14 (Shana) – Iran Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) has planned to revive 18 abandoned oil wells to add nearly 18,000b/d to its offshore output.
An IOOC official said proposals for conducting appraisal studies on the projects are approved by the company's board of directors.
Moshtaqali Gohari said expenses of developing the projects will be supplied by earnings fetched by selling the wells' recovered oil.
The projects are estimated to cost some 222 million dollars.
