TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Countries Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left for Moscow to discuss issues of mutual interests as well as key regional and international matters with senior Russian officials.
He plans to discuss Yemen and Syria’s issues as well as fighting extremism and terrorism with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.
The two sides also discussed developments in Syria and Iran’s presence in Vienna conference on Syria in a phone call on Monday.
“Iran and Russia have taken the same stance on Syria and Russia stresses presence of Iran in Vienna meeting to help settlement of
Syrian crisis through political means,” Bogdanov said on the phone call.
The Iranian official said that it is Syrians who should decide the future of their country.
