Tehran, Nov 4, IRNA – An official with foreign ministry rejected the remarks of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council chief, saying any comment against Iran’s territorial sovereignty is unacceptable.
The Iranian official warned the Arab officials not to be manipulated and play as puppets in political and media games.
In September, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham reiterated that three islands of Greater and Lesser Tunbs and Abu Musa in the Persian Gulf are integral parts of Iran.
Reacting to the final statement of the meeting of foreign ministers of Arab countries in Cairo, Afkham said that repetition of baseless allegations about Iranian three islands will have no effect on current legal and historical realities.
She said the islands are integral parts of Iranian territory.
However, he reiterated that 'the Islamic Republic of Iran pursues friendship and good neighborly ties with all the neighbors and non-interference in internal affairs and mutual respect with the neighboring states.”
